Das Gemeinsame an Kirchen, Galerien und Museen ist, wie sie ihre Ikonen für die Menschen zur Anbetung bringen. Maria als einer ihrer Ikonen stellt sich durch ihre heilige Unberührtheit dar.
Michael Koch setzt dieses Thema in einer reduziert, abstrakten Installation um.
Ein Kreuz gebildet durch vier Kreidetafeln. Die Oberflächen der Kreidetafeln zeigen noch keine Spuren eines Gebrauchs. Eine fast perfekte Oberfläche die wundersam in sich selber ruht. Dennoch warten die Kreidetafeln auch darauf benutzt zu werden eine Zeichnung zu erfahren. Die Ursache von Marias Zeichnung war der heilige Geist. Im Falle von den Kreidetafeln wird es ein Mensch sein der für den Grund seines Vorhabens sich mitzuteilen der Tafel ihre Unschuld nimmt.

the common topic of church, galleries and museums are the kind how they worshipping their icons.
Maria as one of their icon presents it self as holy untouched. Michael Koch transformed this topic into an reduced abstract installation.
The cross formed of four chalkboards, and the chalkboards with an surface of nearly perfection waiting for the reason of their existence to come. In the case of the virgin maria it was the holy spirit. But in the case of the chalkboards it will be an human which intend themselves to communicate and therefore the innocence of the chalkboards will be taken.

oder die Frage nach dem verlorenen Regenwurm, Maria Grün & Eva Grün
In der zweiten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts wurden Erdkröten1 und Frösche zur Feststellung der Schwangerschaft bei Menschen eingesetzt. Ab den 1940iger Jahren war der Froschtest weit verbreitet. Er war einfach durchzuführen und sehr verlässlich. Die Nachfrage an Fröschen steigt rapide, Nachschubprobleme! Ein Engpass an Kröten und Fröschen trat auf. Trotzdem hielt sich dieses Testverfahren 20 Jahre.
Parallel dazu und unzählige Tests später wird dieser Mitte der 60iger Jahre von moderneren Schwangerschaftstests in Pillenform abgelöst. Ab diesem Zeitpunkt ist dieser erstmals zuhause durchzuführen.

Die moderne Frau von heute kauft sich keinen Frosch, sie muss ihn auch nicht küssen. 

Warum der Schwangerschaftstest am Regenwurm, trotz der guten Resultate von 90% und der bekannten Anspruchslosigkeit des Wurms, nicht weiterentwickelt wurde, ist nicht überliefert.

In the second half of the 20th century toads and frogs were used for the determination of pregnancy in humans. From the 1940s on the frog test has spread far. It was easy to perform and very reliable. At this frog or toad test urine or blood serum of potentially pregnant women was injected into the dorsal lymph vessel or under the skin of a male frog or a toad.
If after 3 hours sperm cells could be detected in the frog, then the woman was pregnant.
The animal was again available for the next test after a certain rest period.
The demand for frogs grew rapidly. Supply problems!
A shortage of toads and frogs occurred. Nevertheless, this test procedure was maintained. The toads were even held in laboratories and pharmacies in order to be able to perform the test fast! In parallel, and countless tests later, they were replaced in the mid-60s by modern pregnancy tests in pill form. From this time on they could be carried out at home for the first time.
Why the pregnancy test with the earthworm was not been further developed, despite the good results of 90% reliability and the known simplicity of the worm, is not recorded. Also here, on the long path of toad production, the earthworm has been lost. And can therefore not be seen.
The modern woman of today buys no frog, nor needs to kiss it.
Frog test
The biological test methods are based on the fact that the pregnancy hormone hCG (the pregnancy hormone (hCG or ß-hCG, human chorionic gonadotropin) is formed approximately from 4 days after fertilization, initially from the fertilized egg and later in the placenta.) is very similar to the pituitary hormone LH, by with the brain controls the ovulation respectively the production of sperm. If a woman is pregnant, a large amount of hCG can be found in the urine. This works in the animal as an overstimulation with the sex hormone LH, male frogs begin after a few hours with sperm production, female frogs lay eggs.
Modern pregnancy test
A major breakthrough for the rapid and safe early pregnancy determination succeeds only in 1975 with monoclonal antibodies, because therewith a reliable distinction between the pregnancy hormone hCG and the hormone LH could be made for the first time.
So the use of living animals for early detection of pregnancy could be permanently abandoned.
The urine or stick test is the most commonly used method for the verification of pregnancy. The test applied in the urine leads earliest 14 days after the fertilization of the egg (ie about 2 days following the absence of regular menstrual bleeding) to a result with a reliability of over 99%. Since morning urine contains higher hCG concentrations, pregnancy can thus be earlier and better verified.
An advantage of the stick test is the possibility of carrying it out anonymously at home.
Function of hCG urine test
In order to verify hCG in the urine by using a fast pregnancy test, hCG antibodies are applied on a test strip.
If the test strip is wetted with urine, then the hCG antigens are bound to the applied antibodies. Another hCG
antibody is combined with an enzyme, which produces a color reaction in the binding of the antibody to the hCG antigen in urine. If hCG is present in the urine, the white antibody binds to it and turns blue. Depending on the test, a line or a plus becomes visible. The second region found on many tests is used as a control field and shows through discoloration that the pregnancy test is fully operational.
The woman and the toad
The toad: in the Middle Ages as the ugliest animal of the creation, devil incarnate or protective house-spirit, a fairy tale as ugly, ominous … … … . It loves damp, dark places and measures the earth with it´s legs. The toad was synonymous with the uterus, for all feminine, birthing, female conditions comprised. The great mystery and wonder of the women, namely, to create life within themselves (and everything, what may relate to it..) is once again attributed to the devil and tabued.
There was no clear distinction between the toad or the mostly male imagined frog, and was found in magic salve and folk medicine. By hysteria the female uterus was imagined as a toad, which can bounce up and down in the body. The term hysteria (ancient greek (hystera) = uterus, related to Latinuterus) is regarded as a psychological term for a neurotic disorder now considered obsolete and has been replaced in the ICD-10 by the terms dissociative disorder (F44) and histrionic personality disorder (F60.4)
– not at least because the term of hysteria is from etymological view connected with the female sex, and negatively valuated. Hysteria is a term for a personality disorder, in which the need for prestige, egocentrism, and the need for recognition stand in the foreground.
It belongs to the neurosis spectrum disorder.
The term hysteria appears among other things problematic because it is connected to a pejorative meaning, supposedly with the gender-related bond, which is why today, rather the term “conversion disorder” is used for the above symptoms.
For very long hysteria was understood as mental disorder, exclusively occuring in women, emanating from a disease of the uterus. Women suffering from hysteria, demonstrate certain personality characteristics (self-centered, egotistical, hypercritical, without reflection, etc.) according to this understanding of disease.
The symptoms of hysteria were interpreted as subtle struggle against (male) superiority. The pathologizing and treatment accept this behavior as being a disease, yet reconstitute the affronted superiority on another level.
The hysteria is the oldest of all observed mental disorders. In the ancient descriptions of hysteria in ancient Egyptian papyri as well as Plato and Hippocrates, the cause of the disease is seen in the uterus.
Conceptually, it was assumed that the uterus – when not regularly fed on seeds (sperm) – would seek and rove in the body and then bite on the brain.
This leads then to typical “hysterical” behavior.
This was for the first time contradicted by the English Physician Thomas Sydenham (1624-1689), also Jean-Martin Charcot and Sigmund Freud pointed out that hysteria is not exclusively a women’s disease.

Maria ist he first name of his participate artist colleague in this little group exhibition. Maria is also the name of Maria Mother of God, and in this particularly case, the women for which the pill was not invented and do not work.
This fact is quite amazing.
